KORONISFEST: For the Public's Health

Spread your message across the country! KoronisFest is an annual public service announcement (PSA) and poster competition at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health. This is a chance for you to win money and have your entry screened at KoronisFest during National Public Health Week at UAB. Categories include: PSA Live Action (60-second or less); PSA Animation Category (60-second or less); and Poster Category (11” x 17”). Winners are recognized and awarded their prizes at KoronisFest. There is also a special category for entrants aged 18 years and under.

Judging Criteria:
PSA (Live Action and Animated)
Poster
Public Health Message (50%) Public Health Message (50%)
Dramatic Effectiveness (30%) Visual Effectiveness (30%)
Originality (10%) Originality (10%)
Entertainment value (10%) Universal appeal (10%)

Judged prizes for each category:

     1st Place--$500     2nd Place--$250     3rd Place--$100

People's Choice Awards:

All eligible PSA and poster submissions will also be considered for the People's Choice Koroni Award via online voting once the submission deadline has passed.  The People's Choice winners will be determined by the greatest number of online votes before the polls close, so tell your family and friends to vote early and vote often!  The People's Choice Koroni winners of each category will be screened at KoronisFest 2012 on April 5th.
